How to make sure Providers start on time

Making sure providers start on time is always a top priority! Here are ways to help your process run smoothly to hit those start date goals.

New Starts and Provider Status Widgets

One easy way to keep track of making sure your providers start on time is by using the Upcoming New Starts and Provider Status widgets on the Dashboard. These give you a summary on where your providers stand in one place.

New Starts Filter

In the Roster, you will find a 'New Start' filter along the top with the options Yes/No.

A new start is any provider in a ready to schedule state that has either no shifts or their first shift is scheduled in the future.

'Temp Privileges' and 'Ready to Schedule' fall under Ready to Schedule Status.

This will allow you to easily view who is a New Start and who is not.

Schedule Info and Info Columns in the Roster

When in the Roster, you can use the 'Schedule Info' column and 'Info' colum to view important dates and checklist completion.

  • Schedule Info will let you know at a quick glance when the providers scheduled start date is
  • Info will show at a quick glance if any important documents have not been uploaded yet

Work together with Notes in the Roster

Instead of emailing back and forth, leave notes in the Roster for an easier paper trail!

Make them public so any user can view the note or make them private so that the note is only visible to users in your organization.

Notes can be anything you would like. Was the provider archived for a specific reason?  Is the provider unable to work for during a certain period of time? Leave a note here!

You can '@' other users in a note so they will be notified you left a message for them.

Privileging checklists help your teams know where applications stand

When in the Roster, go to the Privileging tab.

Keep track of important dates  during this process - the purpose of this section is to manage the provider’s meetings by tracking the date, outcome and type of privileges granted in each meeting.

You can also view the required documents needed for a provider to complete a process. Things like state license, background check, board certification, credentialing packet, drivers license, etc.
